Celebrate the seven

It was a lot of fun. Thanks to everyone that came out and congrats to the people that won my pieces. If you didn't get to see them all seven illustrations are up on my website www.redskyedesign.com. also available in the shop is a limited edition 18 X 24 screen print called "the magnificent seven." there are limited quantities available but it is a great looking print (printed on recycled paper). if you were not able to attend or not able to go home with anything this is a good item. a portion of the proceeds will go right to the sanctuary. take care. new stuff coming soon.

What Cloverfield Should Have Been

was District 9. That movie was an awesome alien flick and very topical racial/political movie. Way awesome and the exploding bodies was the icing on the cake. I think that there should be more movies like this. I really hope that Hollywood takes notice of the all non-big name actors and we get more quality made movies without the same douche bag actors running around. Im keeping my fingers crossed more more just like this.

amazing alien effects. the digital work was seamless, at times it was tough to tell on camera effects and post production work. the weta workshop gets better every year.

leonard cohen

just saw leonard cohen at the wamu theatre in seattle on thursday and it was amazing. for being 74 the man puts on an amazing show. well he puts on an amazing show period. sounds better than his albums! it was a lot of fun. we went to seattle early and eat a ton of food at ROXY's which was good as always. then we headed over to the QWEST field for the show. the theatre was really nice for being inside a stadium and we were pretty close too. tickets were selling for $400 for the show. insanity. we got some sweet stuff 2 shirts a tote bag and a limited to 50 poster of the show. it was awesome and then when walking out we saw spencer moody from the murder city devils. awesome. after the show we drove home. it was a long drive but definately worth it. i was sick all day friday but im fine now. now the last three shows we have seen were epic; leonard cohen, murder city devils, and nick cave and the badseeds.
